My trek experience - Is not deadly but lively!

Updated: Jan 17

I had this very bad habit of smoking, it was so bad that it became part of my lifestyle which was concerning. I was smoking for the past 25 years but things changed when I started challenging myself physically and pushed myself outside of my own comfort zone. I started to go on hikes.

The gym does challenge you to be physically active but it’s not particularly adventurous. Started rock climbing as well all this led me to realize my love for mountains.

Being adventurous and experiencing all these thrilling experiences was always a part of me, I remember going to swim with my father in Vasco, the beach was Bogmalo and we’d swim out, cross the waves and then keep going, I must’ve been 10 years old or so and it felt exhilarating to be a fair distance away from the shore.

It sure was part of my personality but somewhere growing up it was lost I am happy that I found it again through hiking.

I love being alone and having the time to reflect, and what better place to do that than in the middle of a jungle trail in the mountains? The end of the tree line, the snow-capped peaks, the ridges, the crisp air, I don’t think I love anything as much as I love the mountains. All in all living life on edge can be exhilarating, but at the same time it gives you the freedom to explore yourself, you go through these experiences and find out that there is always room for improvement mentally and physically, this feeling will always challenge you to go beyond in no matter what you do.

So if you are someone who needs a change and wants to improve your body or mind, take it from a random guy on the internet, and go out more, I am not talking about taking a tiny stroll in the park, engaging yourself in the activities that challenges you physically and mentally, and you will definitely see a better version of yourself forging.
